[lang_de]Wieder auf eigenen Füßen! Die ganze Suspension (also das reine Hängen) dauerte „nur“ 30 Minuten, aber durch das Licht und die Umgebung und definitiv die wirklich spirituelle Ausführung war das eine der schönsten Suspensions die ich erleben durfte. Ich war auch sparsam mit Fotos machen, um die Szene nicht zu sehr zu stören! ;-)[/lang_de] [lang_en]On his own feet again! The „hangtime“ of this suspension was „only“ 30 minutes, but due to the light and enviroment and definitely the spiritual charism of the „performance“ made that one to the most beautiful and intense Suspensions I was allowed to be present at. I tried to make not too many pictures to not disturb the scene! ;-)[/lang_en]

APTPI Conference 2006

[lang_de]Kommen wir zurück zur APTPI Conference in Italien … ich sagte es bereits einige male … die Vorfreude auf diesen Event steigt mit jedem Tag (die 2. internationale Conference findet nächstes WE statt).

Die 2006er Conference (hab übrigens eine Bildergalerie dazu hochgeladen: APTPI Conference 2006) war nicht meine erste Conference überhaupt oder so, ich war schon auf APP Conferences in Las Vegas und Amsterdam und auf einer OPP Fortbildung und so weiter … aber diese Conference 2006 war doch ein sehr prägendes Erlebnis für mich – zum ersten mal war ich auf einer Conference, die Tätowierer und Piercer unter einem Dach eint und das fand und finde ich GENAU richtig. Als das „unabhängige Piercertreffen“ irgendwann zum BMXnet e.V. wuchs war es mir ein besonderes Anliegen mich dafür stark zu machen das auch Tattoo und BodyModification auf eine Conference gehören und die BMXnet Conference war dann (in Deutschland) ja auch die erste auf der Welt die alle von uns so geliebten Disziplinen der Körperverschönerung auf einem Event einte![/lang_de] [lang_en]Again the picture of the day is an italian one and again it is the APTPI … I already bloggt it a hundered times I can’t wait to come back to Italy for this weekends APTPI Conference!

The 2006 APTPI Conference (see my new gallery: APTPI Conference 2006) by the way was not my first conference at all. I have been to APP Conferences in Las vegas and Amsterdam and OPP Seminar Weekends and so on … but this Conference in 2006 really was an important moment for everything I did and contributed to the BMXnet and so on … cause this conference was the first one where piercers and tattooists were teached together … one event for „all of the bodymod industry“. Makes sense and is only logical but so far all events I’ve attended were piercing OR tattoo. With BMXnet we took it one step further ans also included „common body modification“ such as all kinds of scarification, suspension and implants.[/lang_en]

[ad] [lang_de]Auf dem Bild zu sehen ist übrigens Pat Tidwell, der auf dieser Conference zusammen mit Dave Gilstrap übrigens einen hervorragenden Vortrag zum Freehand-Piercen ablieferte.[/lang_de] [lang_en]On this picture you see Pat Tidwell who, together with Dave Gilstrap, held an amazing freehand piercing class.[/lang_en]

[lang_de]Interessant, übrigens ist das die Italiener mit ihrer ersten internationalen Conference 2009 nochmal das Zählen bei 1 angefangen haben … eigentlich ist die 2. Internationale Conference ja schon die 6. … nachdem 2007 keine statt fand und dann die 5. von Ende 2008 auf Anfang 2009 verschoben wurde![/lang_de] [lang_en]Also interesting that this years „second international APTPI conference“ is indeed the 6th conference the APTPI did. in 2006 they had interpreters on site (also for foreign visitors) and improved that concept with their first international conference by having real time interpreters speaking over a radio so that there are always two languages available: italian and english![/lang_en]
